The Origin of the Company Name: Ballard & Bain LLC
For the first twenty years of my life I was Kay Bain. On the occasion of making what was to have been a lifetime commitment, my name became Kay Ballard and it has been so ever since.
I confess that, I, Kay Ballard, am both the Ballard and the Bain of Ballard & Bain LLC. Naming my company after myself twice is just one more indication that I am ego driven and self-absorbed beyond redemption.
While it is not terribly unusual for the founder of a company to name the company after herself, I must sadly admit that naming one’s company after one’s self twice cannot be defended and can only be explained by a diagnosis of advanced clinical Narcissism.
Have pity on me.
